中国农业大学是我国现代农业高等教育的起源地，是国家"双一流”建设的教育部直属重点高校。自1905年建校，历经百年的世纪风雨，中国农业大学早已发展成为一所以农学、生命科学、农业工程和食品科学为特色和优势的研究型大学，形成了特色鲜明、优势互补的农业与生命科学、资源与环境科学、信息与计算机科学、农业工程与自动化科学、经济管理与社会科学等学科群。在第四轮一级学科水平评估中，6个一级学科获评A+，获评A+的学科数量在全国高校中排名第六位；拥有3个国家重点实验室，1个国家工程实验室，2个国家工程技术研究中心，1个国家级国际联合研究中心，93个省部级重点实验室（中心、基地），1个国家级野外科学观测研究站，8个省部级野外科学观测研究站。

China Agricultural University (CAU) is one of the top ranked key national universities in China. It is one of the universities listed in 211 and 985 Projects and directly subordinated to the Ministry of Education of P.R.China.
CAU is located in Beijing, the capital of People's Republic of China, and a center for politics, culture, International exchanges and scientific & technological innovation. CAU has 3 campuses, including the East Campus, West Campus and Jianshe Campus. As the oldest agricultural higher education institution in China, CAU's history can be dated back to October 1905, when the College of Agriculture was founded by the former Imperial Univeristy of Peking.
Over the past 115 years, CAU has developed into a research university with agriculture, life sciences and agricultural engineering as its feature and strength. The mission of the university is centered on human health and nutrition by talent cultivation, technical innovation and social service.

1. Eligibility
Applicants must be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, be in good health, and be a graduate from secondary school or hold a higher degree holder under the age at least 18 and less than 25 when applying for the Undergraduate programs,and be a bachelor’s degree holder under the age of 35 when applying for the Master’s programs, and be a Master’s degree holder under the age of 40 when applying for the doctoral programs.
2. Application Time
CAU is open to applications from international students form January to April each year.
3. Application Procedure
Login the“International Students Service System of CAU ”http://apply.cau.edu.cn, and submit all the documents online as required.
4.Application Documents
For applicants who apply for graduate programs, are required to submit the following complete items. For applicants who apply for undergraduate program ts, only 1-4,7,10 items need to be submitted.
(1) APPLICATION FORM FOR STUDY IN CAU (online generated application form);
(2) Photocopy of passport (at least 1 years validity) personal information page;
(3) Highest diploma (notarized photocopy);
(4) Academic transcripts of the most advanced studies (Original copy or notarized photocopy);
(5) Two reference letters from associate professors or above, experts with equal titles in related fields (Original copy);
(6) CV and research proposal ( no less than 800 words for postgraduates);
(7) Language Proficiency Requirements:
English Language Certificate for English-medium program( score reports of TOEFL, IELTS, CEFR, etc.); Score reports of the Chinese Proficiency Test for Chinese-medium program (HSK 4 level for graduate programs;HSK 5 level for undergraduate programs ); (Optional)
(8) Photocopies of degree thesis abstract;
(9) Verification of current employer or working unit; (Optional)
(10) Foreigner Physical Examination Form (Please take health examination in the hospitals designated by the Chinese Embassy);
(11) Acceptance letter from host supervisor. (Optional)
