Founded in April 2007, Guiyang Vocational and Technical College (hereinafter short for “College”) is a full-time, all-around and open institute which was sponsored by Guiyang Municipal People's Government. As one of the TOP 50 public higher vocational colleges on international influence in China in 2016 and 2017, it’s a model vocational college of Guizhou Province and a high-quality institution of provincial level in construction, a major organization of ASEAN-China Rail Transit Education Alliance, and a member of Vocational Education Branch of China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE). In 2018, the “Program of Rail Transportation Skills Training for the Talents from Lancang-Mekong Area”launched by the College is successful enough to get in the International Education Communication Program of National-level.
There are 35 programs offered in the College, such as Urban Rail Transit Vehicles, Electromechanical Integration Technology, Biological Pharmacy Technology, Hospitality Management, Tourism Management, E-Commerce, Accounting, Computer Networking Technology, Architectural Engineering Technology, etc.. The College has more than 10000 higher vocational college students on campus right now.The graduate employment rate has reached over 94% over the years.
The College has 677 members of faculty and staff, including 218 professors and associate professors, 258 members equipped with degrees of doctors and masters, and 364 members being double-professionally-titled teachers.
The College is awarded as an example school in Guizhou Province due to its distinct school-running features of“Servicing the Local, Being Open-minded, Cooperating with Enterprises”. After years of efforts, the College has successively established strategic cooperation with overseas educational institutes, such as Educational Institute of American Hotel & Lodging Association in the US, Canadore College in Canada, Edge Hill University in Britain, Nilai University in Malaysia, Battambang University in Cambodia, Chung Chou University of Science and Technology in Taiwan, Tungnan University in Taiwan, etc.. Apart from that, the College, with the aim of introducing overseas high-quality educational resources, recruiting international students, enhancing the international communication among faculties and students as well as sharing educational resources, has also made all-round and muti-mode attempts to introduce 20 overseas teachers from the US, the UK and Cambodia, and recruit more than 500 international students from 27 countries, such as Laos, India, Singapore, Cambodia, etc.The “Program of Rail Transportation Skills Training for the Talents from Lancang-Mekong Area” launched by the College has trained more than 100 members from Laos and Thailand.

2. Uploading Application Checklist and Requirements：
（1）Scanning Copy of Valid Passport.
①The applicant who has entered into China more than once is required to offer the scanning copies of visa and past resident permit.
②In addition to meeting other required qualifications of this College, the applicant who is born in a foreign country and has a non-P.R.C. nationality due to his/her parent(s) is/are Chinese citizen(s) but settle(s) in a foreign country has to offer more than 4 years’ valid foreign passport or documentary non-P.R.C. nationality proof and also the latest more than 2 years’ living abroad record in recent 4 years. (NOTE: The recorded time of living abroad for more than 9 months, which is subject to the entry and departure stamps of China Customs on the valid passport, is considered as one year.)
③For the applicant who has obtained the foreign nationality as an emigrant, the requirement is same as that of the applicant in the 2nd item mentioned above.
（2）Scanning Copy of the Highest Academic Degree.
①The highest academic diploma of Non-English version is required to offer Chinese or English version (Chinese version is preferred) with an official seal of the previous graduated school or a translation agency.
②The applicant who completes the academic performance but hasn’t received the diploma yet when applying for the College is required to offer official Expected Graduation Letter issued by the applicant’s school. The letter of Non-English version is required to offer Chinese or English version (Chinese version is preferred) with an official seal of the previous graduated school or a translation agency.
（3）Scanning Copy of Official Academic Transcript of the Highest Academic Degree.
The transcript of Non-English version is required to offer Chinese or English version (Chinese version is preferred) with an official stamp of the previous graduated school or a translation agency.
（4）Scanning Copy of “ Physical Examination Record for Foreigner”.
①The applicant is required to complete all the items listed in the Physical Examination Record for Foreigner( hereinafter short for “Record”).
②The Record is valid for 6 months. If there is any item listed in the Record is left uncompleted, or no official photo on the Record and no cross stamp on the photo, or no signature of the doctor or the stamp of the hospital in the Record, the Physical Examination Record for Foreigner is considered to be invalid.
（5）Scanning Copy of the Letter of No Criminal Record.
①The expiration date should be indicated in the Letter of No Criminal Record( hereinafter short for “Letter”). If there is no expiration date, the Letter is considered to be valid for 6 months since the issuing date of the Letter.
②The Letter of Non-English version is required to offer Chinese or English version (Chinese version is preferred) with an official seal of the previous graduated school or a translation agency.
（6）Scanning Copy of Bank Statement.
①The applicant is required to offer a scanning copy of the Bank Statement which lists the applicant’s bank savings of 25,000 RMB or above in recent 3 months.
②The Bank Statement of Non-English version is required to offer Chinese or English version (Chinese version is preferred) with an official seal of a translation agency.
（7）If the applicant is a transferred student from other colleges in China, a School Transfer Letter, or a Recommendation Letter, or a Letter of Assessment of applicant’s academic performance is required to offered by the previous school.
（8）The applicant who applies for the Associated Degree Education Program is required to offer a scanning copy of the Certificate of HSK 3 or above.
（9）Electronic ID photo of 2 inches with white background.
（10）Scanning Copy of Letter of Commitment.
①The applicant is required to promise in the Letter of Commitment that the application information and the upload documentary materials are true and valid. The applicant who is confirmed dishonest will bear its own negative consequences.
②The signature of the applicant is required.

Scholarship: 1. INTERNATIONAL STUDNET SCHOLARSHIP OF GUIZHOU PROVINCE
(1) Scholarship for Outstanding International Students of Guizhou Province：
The Education Department of Guizhou Province offers partial or special scholarships for supporting the outstanding international students selected from the colleges in Guizhou Province.
(2) Scholarship for International Students from Laos Studying in Guizhou Province：
According to the agreement signed between the Education Department of Guizhou Province and the Ministry of Education and Sports of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (MOES, Lao PDR), the applicant from Laos can send the application for full scholarship to the Ministry of Education and Sports of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (MOES, Lao PDR). The detailed application information can be seen in accordance with the consensus reached by the Education Department of Guizhou Province and MOES, Lao PDR.
(3) Scholarship for International Students from Southeast Asia：
According to the consensus reached by the Education Department of Guizhou Province and SEAMEO, the Education Department of Guizhou Province and colleges in Guizhou provides full or partial scholarships jointly for the international students from Southeast Asia.
(4) ASEAN-China Maritime Silk Road Scholarship of Guizhou Province：
As part of “ASEAN-China Maritime Silk Road Scholarship”, the Education Department of Guizhou province provides partial scholarship for the international students from ASEAN countries.

（2）Tuition-free of Guiyang Vocational and Technical College
The international graduates of senior high school or above recommended by partner colleges or educational organizations are exempt from tuition during the study for degree education on condition that they study Chinese language in this College for at least 6 months during which all the cost are covered by themselves.
NOTES
①All the admitted international students of 2020, who are not allowed to enter into the College but completes the online courses of the Short-term Chinese Language Program, have the priority to apply for INTERNATIONAL STUDNET SCHOLARSHIP OF GUIZHOU PROVINCE and the COLLEGE FUNDINGS mentioned above when getting permission to enter into this College for further Chinese language learning or degree education.
②All the funding programs mentioned in INTERNATIONAL STUDNET SCHOLARSHIP OF GUIZHOU PROVINCE and the COLLEGE FUNDINGS are offered ONLY for the international students studying on campus. Each international student is permitted to apply for ONLY one founding program each year. 3.Others: Work-study Allowance Program
The program is offered for the international students who are willing to do the job on campus without occupying the time for study. The applicant can get allowance 12.5 RMB/h and receive 500 RMB per month at most.
The College covers an area of 713,600 square meters with 66.13 square meters per student. The library and digital reading room, covering an area of 180,000 square meters, owns 769,000 library collections. The teaching facilities invested by the College is worth 139,615,800 RMB with 12,700 RMB per student. The College is equipped with brand new comprehensive teaching buildings, practical training centers, library, indoor stadium, students recreational and sports center and improved logistic service facilities.
The College is one of the first 100 experimental higher vocational colleges on apprenticeship system approved by the Ministry of Education of China, National Industry Robot Applied Talent Training Center, National High-skilled Talent Training Base, China Railway Corporation Electric Locomotive Driver Training Base, Civil Aviation Administration of China Maintenance Training Organization（CCAR-147）and Experimental Micro-enterprise Business Incubation Training Center of Guizhou Province.

2. Convenient Transportation
The College locates in Guiyang Municipal Administration Region (Guanshanhu District), the surrounding of the College is graceful and the transportation is very convenient for it is close to Guiyang North Railway Station (High-Speed Train Station), Long Distance Bus Stop, Guanshanhu Park, Wanda Plaza and Karst Geopark. It takes only about 40 minutes driving to Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport from the College.
3. High-qualified Faculties
As one of the first higher vocational colleges recruiting international students in Guizhou Province, the College has rich teaching and management experiences in enrolling and training skilled international students of Higher Vocational Education (Junior College Level). All of the TCSL teachers have qualified Mandarin teaching qualifications authorized by the Government of China and most of them have once studied overseas.
