Introduction to Huanghuai University
Huanghuai University is a state-owned full-time undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education. It is located in Zhumadian city known as "Yuzhou’s hinterland, the world's center". Huanghuai University has been appointed as a pilot university of reform strategy research of Universities of Applied Technology by the Ministry of Education, and a Vice President Unit of Association of Universities of Applied Technology and the first batch of Exemplary Undergraduate Universities of Applied Technology in Henan province.
The campus covers an area of 164 hectares. There are 17 departments, providing 52programs with approximate 20,000 full-time students. There are over 1400 staff and faculty members.
With the orientation of application, Huanghuai University carries out the reform of school-running and personnel training model, and promotes the integration of industry and education, as well as the cooperation between the university and enterprises. It has set up a cooperation and development alliance with over 200 domestic and foreign enterprises. It innovates the inner construction, promotes double cultivation model with enterprises and the university, reforms on the innovation and entrepreneurship education system, constructs “1+N” makers’ space cluster, and forms innovation and entrepreneurship education system with “Five Infusions”. It was honored as National Science and Technology Business Incubator, National Makers’ Space Cluster, the first batch of Deepening Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Reform Exemplary Universities.
To carry out actively the national development strategy “One Belt, One Road”, and to create international cooperation and exchange platform, Huanghuai University has so far established a cooperative relationship with more than 20 well-known universities and colleges. Huanghuai University has come to the forefront in international cooperation in higher education among Henan universities. It has successfully organized 6 sessions of International Forum for Industry & Education (IFIE), which has an important impact both at home and abroad.
