Henan Polytechnic Institute was founded in 1973, attached to the People's Government of Henan Province, has been identified as “Demonstrative higher vocational colleges project construction institutions of Henan Province”, the “national key higher vocational colleges project construction unit” and the “project of Henan national higher vocational school construction”. It has been awarded the National Advanced Unit in Employment ,National advanced unit in vocational education and National Training Award for outstanding contribution of technical talents, etc.
HPI has established 60 advanced vocational specialties of 8 schools and departments, covering Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical and Electrical Automation, Urban Construction, Economics and Management, Automobile Engineering, Electronic Information Engineering, Environmental Engineering and Applied Foreign Languages and International Education. Focused on Machinery, Electrics, Civil Engineering, HPI is in pursuit of a coordinated development among Engineering, Management, economics and liberal arts.
HPI boasts of more than 183 training centers specialized in machinery, electricity and so on, and 335 training center bases off-campus. There is one provincial-level engineering laboratory, Henan Flexible Manufacturing engineering laboratory, two provincial engineering technology research centers. The total experiment and training equipment is valued at 140 million RMB. The library comprises about 987,100 volumes. There are 12 national key construction majors, 16 provincial key construction majors and 3 training bases supported by the central government at present. 4 courses have been selected as national-level excellent courses, 7 courses have been selected as provincial-level excellent courses. According to China and Regional Competitiveness Evaluation of Higher Vocational College Promulgated by the China Authority of Science Evaluation Research Center in 2017, the school ranked 36th in 1346 higher vocational colleges all over the country, ranking the first in Henan province.
HPI boasts a staff around 1000 full-time teachers, among whom there are more than 50% teachers with the title of professor, 85% teachers with double-certificates. 3 professors were awarded the State Council special government subsidy, 4 provincial-level outstanding teachers. There is 1 national-level teaching team, 6 provincial-level teaching team.
Henan Polytechnic Institute is situated in Nan Yang, a national famous historical & cultural City. Its abundant natural resources and a galaxy of outstanding people entitled itself China's famous historical and cultural cities and excellent tourist cities. Endowed with a splendid culture, Nan Yang has given birth to talented people from generation to generation, including the science sage Zhang Heng, the medical sage Zhang Zhongjing, the commerce sage Fan Li and the mind sage Zhu Geliang. Nanyang has superior geographical location and convenient trans portation, direct flights to the big cities in domestic.
At present, Henan Polytechnic Institute covers 1,200 MU (80 HECTARES) with 539,800 square meters of school buildings. Entitled with the backbone of higher vocational education, HPI was cradled by the Dushan Forest Park, the Baihe Wetland Park, the Li Ning Sports Park and the Main Stadium of the 7th National Farmers Sports Meeting. The quiet campus is surrounded by flowers and green grass, which makes it the ideal place for students learning and growth.
The living facilities of the student apartment are complete and equipped with optical fiber broadband network interface. Each student has a separate desk and wardrobe, a separate bathroom in the dormitory, a spacious and bright student canteen and delicious food from all over the country. 1. Qualifications
(1) Non-Chinese citizens, healthy and no criminal record;
(2) High school graduate or equivalent
(3) Academic Students should under the age of 30, Short-term Learning Students should under the age of 45;
(4) with good English or Chinese listening and speaking skills;
(5) Students who have been admitted by schools in China, after they got school’s approval, can transfer to our Institute.

3. Application process
(1) Submit your application form to us g with all the required documents.
(2) After all the materials are received. We will determine whether the student is admitted. Admitted students will receive a formal Form of Application for Studying in China (JW202) and a letter of admission.
(3) The admitted students should apply for visa for studying abroad (XI visa) at the Chinese Embassy in their country and register in Henan Polytechnic Institute before the specified deadline.
