Rizhao Polytechnic(RZPT), approved by the Ministry of Education, is the first public higher vocational school in Shandong Province. It is one of 100 national model  higher vocational colleges and one of the first batch of provincial core model vocational and technological colleges. In 2012, it was recognized as a national  model  college in graduate employment by the Ministry of Education. In 2014, it won a bronze award of Excellence in College-industry Partnerships by the World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics. In 2015, it was named as one of the first  national pilots for modern apprenticeship by the Ministry of Education, and identified as modern apprenticeship pilot project construction unit  of Shandong  Province vocational colleges by Shandong Education Department. In 2016, it was recognized as one of the first batch of provincial model colleges for college-industry jointly school-running by Shandong Education Department.  In 2017, it was awarded a national education reform model college in innovation and entrepreneurship, and ranked one of the top 50 nationwide in service and contribution among vocational colleges. In the same year, it was rated as one of the first batch of 16 construction organizations of high quality vocational colleges and universities in Shandong Province. In 2018, it won a silver award of Excellence in Entrepreneur-ship by the World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics. In 2019, it was identified by the Ministry of Education as a national high quality junior college vocational college, and successfully selected as one of the top 30 high-level vocational colleges with Chinese characteristics.

RZPT is located in a beautiful coastal city-Rizhao, the winner of United Nation Habitat Scroll of Honor Award. RZPT covers an area of around 866,700       square meters, with the building area of   618,660 square meters. So far, it has an enrollment of over 15,000 students and over 900 faculty and staff. It    has facilities and instruments of 199million yuan. It has 46 specialties divided into ten subordinate schools—Marine Engineering, Architectural Engineer- ing, Mechanical & Electrical Engineer-ing, General Aviation, Hyundai Auto,Telecommunication Engineering, Accounting, Business, Humanities & Tourism, and Innovation &  design.

RZPT has established the friendly cooperative relationship with 106 government organizations, colleges and universities, Educational Institutions and      Enterprises from 24 nations and regions. It jointly established School of Hyundai Auto with Hyundai Motor Group of South Korea; and jointly educate         international talents in intelligent manufacturing, software testing and application, automobile maintenance, construction engineering with DMG         (Germany), HP (USA), ShinSung University (South Korea), Kuala Lumpur Infrastructure University (Malaysia) respectively. It has over 400 overseas              students from USA, South Korea, Australia, Chile, Brazil, Ghana, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Cambodia having been learning here. By now, It has been                organizing  International Chinese Language Camp for 11 continuous years,   CHINA-ASEAN Overseas Student Exchange Camp for 2 years, and                Shandong-Taiwan Innovation,Originality and Entrepreneurship Camp for 4 times with totally over500 students learning Chinese language, culture, or       studying regional economic development, which has become a brand of Rizhao international education exchange.
