湖南有国家AAAAA级景区：长沙风景名胜区（韶山毛主席故居、花明楼、岳麓山）、岳阳风景名胜区（岳阳楼）、邵阳风景名胜区（崀山）、郴州风景名胜区（东江湖）、张家界风景名胜区（天门山、武陵源）、衡山风景名胜区（南岳衡山）。

湖南工业职业技术学院是湖南省教育厅直属高等职业院校，是全国100所“国家级示范性高等职业院校”之一、湖南首批卓越院校建设单位、湖南省首批示范性高职院校。

         Hunan Industry Polytechnic is a higher vocational college directly governed by the Education Department of Hunan Province, which is one of 100 National Demonstrative Higher Vocational Colleges, one of the first outstanding colleges in Hunan Province and one of the first demonstrative higher vocational colleges in Hunan Province.

学校历史悠久 1999年经教育部批准设立的高等职业技术学院，学校前身——湖南省机械工业学校创办于1955年。现有在校生15000余人。

The college was approved and established as the higher vocational and technical college by the Ministry of Education in 1999 and the predecessor of the college is Hunan Mechanical Industry School founded in 1955. At present, there are 15,000 full-time students.

地理位置优越 坐落在历史文化名城湖南省长沙市，校区位于湘江之滨、岳麓山下。占地面积1031亩，建筑面积38万平方米，图书馆馆藏图书近100万册。环境幽雅，景色宜人，是理想的求学园地。

Location of the college is superior. The college is located in Changsha City of Hunan Province, a famous historical and cultural city. The campus, near the bank of Xiangjiang River and the foot of Yuelu Mountain, covers an area of 1,031 mu, with a floor space of 380,000 square meters, and the library has a collection of nearly 1 million books. Elegant environment and pleasant scenery make it an ideal place to study.

The college has 10 schools, namely School of Mechanical Engineering, School of Automotive Engineering, School of Electrical Engineering, School of Information Engineering, School of Economics and Management, School of Commerce and Trade, School of Industrial Design & Art, School of Continuing Education, School of International Education and School of innovation and entrepreneurship, and has 39 majors.

师资力量雄厚 现有教职工一千余人，共有国家级教学团队1个，国家级教学名师1人，国家级优秀教师1人，省级以上“教学名师”和学科带头人5人，省级以上教学团队4个。建立了一支由业内精英、行业企业专家以及全国劳动模范、全国技术能手等组成的兼职教师队伍。
