Introduction
Guangzhou Xinhua University (Institution Code: 13902) was formerly known as Xinhua College of Sun Yat-sen University, which was an independent university established by Sun Yat-sen University and Guangdong Dongbao Group Co.. In February 2021, approved by the Ministry of Education, Xinhua College of Sun Yat-sen University was transformed into an independent undergraduate private higher education institution and renamed as Guangzhou Xinhua University.
Guangzhou Xinhua University has Guangzhou Campus and Dongguan Campus, covering an area of 2,185 mu (1.46 km2). The Guangzhou Campus is located next to the beautiful Huolu Mountain and the Dongguan Campus is adjacent to the national Huayang Lake Ecological Wetland Park, where the mountains and water reflect each other with birds' twitter and the fragrance of flowers. It is an ideal place for study and learning.
The university offers Economics, Law, Education, Literature, Science, Engineering, Medicine, Management, Art and other disciplines of full-time undergraduate degree programs, with over 20,000 students enrolled.
The university has a reasonable layout of disciplines and obvious professional characteristics to meet the needs of social development. At present, the university has 23 colleges/schools offering 54 majors. Pharmacy and Nursing were approved as special majors of Guangdong Province and key majors of Guangdong Province respectively in 2019. During 2019-2021, Accounting, Nursing, Administration, Pharmacy, Human Geography and Urban and Rural Planning were approved as first-class undergraduate major construction points in Guangdong Province. In 2021, Accounting was selected as a national first-class undergraduate major construction point.
The university adheres to the fine tradition and philosophy of the original parent school, Sun Yat-sen University, and the mission of "educating people first and quality first" to develop students with excellent ideological character, good humanistic cultivation, independent innovation consciousness, solid theoretical foundation and strong ability in practical operation. At present, Guangzhou Xinhua University is striving to become a first-class and distinctive application-oriented university in China.
Guangzhou Xinhua University has established international (overseas) cooperation relations with 38 universities and academic institutions in 11 countries and areas, signed a total of 59 cooperation agreements (excluding renewal agreements). The cooperation projects involve a wide range of disciplines and various modes of cooperation, and a total of 23 exchange programs are in operation, including Bachelor-master's programs, undergraduate dual-degree programs, short-term exchange programs, summer study tours.Admission Details

II. Application for admission
1. Applicant Qualifications
  1. Foreign citizens, 18-35 years old at the time of enrollment, good health;
  2. Good conduct, no criminal record, and will abide by relevant laws and regulations of China and the rules and regulations of Guangzhou Xinhua University;
  3. Hold high school diploma or equivalent;
  4. Chinese proficiency HSK3 and above.
 
  1. Materials Required
  1. Application Form, electronic version completed by the applicant.
  2. First page of valid passport (valid for more than 1 year, visa page and residence permit page are required for overseas students who have already been in China).
  3. Highest academic certificate and transcript (Languages other than Chinese/English must be accompanied by a notarized Chinese/English translation).
  4. HSK Certificate (Level 3 or above, valid for 2 years).
  5. Foreign Physical Examination Form (within 6 months).
  6. Certificate of no criminal record (Languages other than Chinese/English must be accompanied by a notarized Chinese/English translation).
【Note】: The above application materials will not be returned, regardless of the success of the application.

3. Application Procedure
（1）All the above materials shall be submitted with original scanned copies (PDF format), and all certificates must be in Chinese or English (other languages need to be notarized and translated into Chinese or English). All application materials should be scanned and sent to internationaloffice@xhsysu.edu.cn . The subject of the email should be： nationality + passport name + Chinese name.
（2）Application materials reviewed, examinations or interviews organized;
（3）Admission notice and visa application form (JW202 Form) issued.
（4） The admitted applicants go to Chinese embassy or consulate with the admission notice, JW202 Form and other supporting documents to apply for the study visa.

【Visa】After the applicant has passed the examination of our school, Guangzhou Xinhua University will prepare the Letter of Acceptance and JW202 Form for the applicant, and the processing time is usually 30-40 days (the processing time will be extended in case of winter and summer holidays and Chinese public holidays). Once the Letter of Acceptance and Form JW202 are ready, applicants can pick them up at the school by themselves, or appoint an agent or international courier to pick them up for them. Applicants need to take these two documents and their passports to the Chinese embassy or consulate in their home country to apply for an "X" visa to study in China. International students with an "X1" visa must exchange it for a study residence permit within 30 days of entry.

Medical Insurance Premium International students must have medical insurance during their study term. The insurance purchased by international students should at least cover accidental injury and hospitalization. Medical insurance can be purchased before or after arrival in China. Admitted international students should submit the insurance certificate issued by the insurance company. The insurance certificate should be in English or Chinese.
Textbook fee Charge according to the price of the required books

IV. Accommodation Conditions
There are 15 dormitory buildings at Guangzhou Campus, of which 10 are located in the Living Garden and 5 are located in the Eastern District. There are 17 student dormitories on the Dongguan Campus, which can accommodate more than 20,000 students. Some dormitories are equipped with elevators. The dormitories are standard dormitories for 4-8 people, all equipped with single beds (upper bed and lower table) or bunk beds. All dormitories have full coverage of air conditioning and direct drinking water systems. The dormitory uses centrally controlled hot water supply, and some dormitories have independent toilets, bathrooms and balconies. Dormitory administrators are on duty 24 hours, and dedicated cleaning staff are responsible for building hygiene. Some dormitories are equipped with reception rooms and self-study rooms on the open floor of the dormitories, which provide a place for students to learn and communicate, and create a good education and cultural atmosphere.

住宿情况

（一）住宿环境

广州校区现有宿舍楼15栋，其中10栋分布在生活园内，5栋分布在东区；东莞校区现有学生宿舍楼17栋，能容纳两万多名学生住宿。部分宿舍楼内设有电梯，宿舍为4-8人标准间寝室，均配备单体床（上床下桌）或上下铺，所有宿舍已实现空调及直饮水系统全覆盖。宿舍楼内采用中央控制热水供应，部分宿舍楼拥有独立卫生间、浴室及阳台。宿舍管理员24小时值班，楼宇卫生清洁由专门的清洁人员负责。部分宿舍架空层配备会客室及自习室，方便家长到校探访，为学生提供学习交流场地，创造良好的学习生活氛围。

（二）收费标准

每生每年1200-1900元（依住宿条件不同而定）。

申请方式

（一）申请者可向我校外事处索取《广州新华学院国际学生入学申请表》或自行到网上下载国际学生入学申请表。

（二）申请者将以下报名材料交至学校外事处办公室以便办理有关手续

     1.入学申请表；

     2.最后学历证明复印件；

     3.健康证明及血液检查报告；

     4.申请人护照复印件；

     5.六张护照规格照片。

How to apply

(1) Applicants can obtain the "Application Form for International Students Admission to Guangzhou Xinhua University" from the Office of International Affairs or download the application online.

(2) Applicants should submit the following application materials to the Office of International Affairs

收费标准

广州新华学院学生学费、住宿费的收费标准按照广东省教育厅、广东省物价局、广东省发改委有关文件执行。

      学费标准：每生每年26000-35000元（依专业不同而定）；

      住宿费：每生每年1800-2200元（依住宿条件不同而定）。

Tuition and Accommodation Fee

The tuition and accommodation fees for students of Guangzhou Xinhua University shall be charged in accordance with the relevant documents of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education, the Guangdong Provincial Price Bureau, and the Guangdong Provincial Development and Reform Commission.

Tuition fee: 26000-35000 yuan per student per year (depending on the major);
