Yunnan University of Chinese Medicine (YUCM) was established in 1960, which is among the second group of universities of Traditional Chinese Medicine set up nationwide. YUCM was granted to offer Master degree in 1986 and Doctoral degree in 2018. It has 11 faculties, 1 public courses teaching department, 2 affiliated hospitals, 14 non-affiliated hospitals. There are more than 13,000 full time students. YUCM offers 28bachelor degree programs, 24 master degree programs and 5 doctoral degree programs. The university cultivates undergraduate and graduate students in medicine, science, engineering and management.
YUCM has been attaching great importance to international exchange and cooperation since its founding. The university has established cooperation with more than 30 universities and institutions in America, Australia, France, Germany, Canada, Switzerland, Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam etc., to conduct staff and students exchange as well as joint scientific research. The university has become the most influential exchange and cooperation platform in traditional medicine in South Asia and Southeast Asia.
The university has enrolled more than 2，000 students from America, France, Canada, Belgium, Sweden, Korea, Japan, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Myanmar and Malaysia. Now, there are more than 200 international students studying in YUCM.

Application requirements
Non-Chinese citizens who are in good health and abide to the laws and regulations of People’s Republic of China and the regulations of YUCM are welcome to study in our university.
1. Chinese language program: Applicants should be under the age of 30.
2. Bachelor degree programs: High school graduates or above, under the age of 30 and passed Chinese language proficiency test HSK5 or above.
3. Master degree programs: Undergraduate students under the age of 40 with relevant bachelor degree in medicine and passed Chinese language proficiency test HSK5 or above.
4. Ph.D. Programs: graduate students under the age of 45 with relevant master degree in medicine and passed Chinese language proficiency test HSK5 or above.

Documents needed
1. International student application form of Yunnan University of Chinese Medicine with signature.
2. Photocopy of the first page of valid passport.
3. Notarized academic degree certificate, documents not in English or Chinese should submit translated version in English or Chinese with notarization.
4. Certificate and transcript of HSK5 or above, which is valid in two years from the date of issue.
5. Resume.
