Pu’er University is located in the Pu’er city, which is the traffic hub of Kunming - Bangkok highway in the south of Yunnan province. Established in 1977, its predecessor was Simao Teacher’s College. In March 2012, approved by the ministry of education, it was upgraded to a comprehensive undergraduate university. It is a model university of applied undergraduate majors cultivation and is one project of national universities construction.
Pu’er University covers an area of over 2,156 mu (1,437,333 square meters). It consists of 14 secondary schools with 79 majors, of which 42 are undergraduate majors. The school library has collection of 1,101,500 books, 1,350,000 digital resources, and 18 databases.
The school sticks at the strategy of strengthening school through talents and enhances the construction of teaching staff. At present, Pu’er University has 501 full-time teachers, 123 part-time teachers and 216 senior professional teachers including 58 senior teachers and 29 provincial master teachers. There are 501 teachers with master degree or above, among which 56 doctoral teachers.
By relaying on geographical advantage, the university strongly promotes open education, and has set up the school of ASEAN Studies to manage international students, and established cooperative relations with more than ten famous universities and scientific research institutes, such as Capital University of Economics and Business, Yunnan University, Minzu University of China, Yunnan Minzu University, Hunan Agricultural University, Southwest University of Political Science & Law, Kunming branch of China Academy of Science, Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden of China Academy of Science, etc. The university cooperates with these universities and institutions to train international students at the Master and Doctor Degrees.
1.报名要求及申请材料 （1）申请者身体健康，年龄在18-45岁之间，愿意遵守中华人民共和国法律和普洱学院校规校纪。
（2）高中学历证明和成绩单的复印件（申请时提供清晰的扫描件到指定邮箱，到校报到时提供原件）
（3）体检证明（申请时提供清晰的扫描件到指定邮箱，到校报到时提供原件）
（4）有效护照的复印件（申请时提供清晰的扫描件到指定邮箱，到校报到时提供原件）
（5）无犯罪记录证明（申请时提供清晰的扫描件到指定邮箱，到校报到时提供原件）
（6）电子版彩色免冠证件照，白色背景无边框，头部占照片尺寸的2/3，照片尺寸不低于320*240像素，高宽比为4:3，大小为100-500KB，JPG格式，以护照号码命名（照片不合规格将无法通过资格审核，请严格按要求，提供至指定邮箱）
（7）填写申请人基本信息表（见附件1，填写电子表格，表格以本人姓名命名，将电子表格和其余申请材料一同发至指定邮箱。）
（8）承诺书，申请人本人签字、按指纹（见附件2，须打印出来签字、按手印，申请时提供清晰的扫描件到指定邮箱，到校报到时提供原件）
请将上述材料扫描件和电子版整理完善后统一发送到指定邮箱pexydmxyzs@163.com。 2.资格审核 学校留学生招生办公室对留学生申请材料进行审核。 3.录取 审核通过后，学校签发录取通知书，办理202表。
202表、录取通知书原件将寄送给被录取的学生（邮费学生自付）。 4.报到 学生携202表、录取通知书前往驻本国中国领事馆办理学习签证，然后按通知书上的开学日期携带申请材料原件前往普洱学院东盟学院报到，办理入学手续。 1. Application Requirements & Required Materials （1）Applicants must be in good health, aged between 18-45, and willing to abide by Chinese laws and regulation of Pu’er University.
（2）High school diploma and transcript (notarized photocopy)
（3）Certificate of foreigner physical examination (notarized photocopy)
（4）Valid passport and border pass (notarized photocopy)
（5）Certificate of non- criminal record (notarized photocopy)
（6）Photography requirements: coloured one with white background; without head coverings except for religious reasons; close up of your head and top up your shoulders so that your face takes up 70-80% of the photograph; size is not less than 320*240 pixels with 4:3 aspect ratio; size for the electronic edition is 100-500 KB in JPG format named after the passport number. (Unqualified photography will not pass the qualification examination.)
（7）Filling in the application form: attachment 1- Basic Information of International Student Applicant (Please save the electronic form named after the full name of applicant.)
（8）Letter of commitment: attachment 2- Letter of Commitment (Please print it and sign your name as well fingerprint.)

Qualification Examination The international student admissions office of Pu’er University is responsible for reviewing the application materials of international students. 3. Admission After the examination and approval, Pu’er University will issue the admission notice and handle the JW202 form – Visa Application for Study in China.
We will post the JW202 form and letter of admission to the students enrolled. (The post fees shall be afforded by students himself.) 4. Register Student shall apply for the study visa with original JW202 form and letter of admission at Chinese consulate in his own country, and register at the school of ASEAN Studies of Pu’er University at the opening date of school term with the original application materials.
