There are different types of dormitory rooms on campus: standard rooms, luxury rooms and luxury suites, all of which are equipped with wardrobes, beds, air-conditioners tables, chairs, fixed phones, the broadband access, hot showers and bathrooms.

Admission Requirements

Undergraduates

1. The applicant and his/her parents should hold non-Chinese nationality;

2. The applicant should have a regular senior high school diploma or a diploma of the same level;

3. The applicant should have an HSK 4 certificate.

Note: Those who passed HSK 4 or above can enroll into the undergraduate program directly; those who don’t have such a certificate are required to take the language course first.

Non-degree Language Students.

1. The applicant and his/he parents should hold non-Chinese nationalities;

2. The applicant should have a regular senior high school diploma or a diploma of the same level.

List of Application Materials

Undergraduates

1. Foreign Students' Admission Registration Form (Download the attachment at the end of the page and properly fill in); 

2. A reference letter from the headmaster of the senior high school which the applicant graduates from and a reference letter from a teacher who once taught the applicant at the same school;

3. An HSK4 (or above) certificate;

4. Three passport photos;

5. Scanned copies of senior high school diploma and academic record (if it' s not in Chinese or English, then a notarized copy in English or Chinese shall be submitted);

6. A copy of the passport;

7. A copy of the medical examination report (no earlier than 6 months ago)

Non-degree Language Students

1. An official letter from the institution from which the applicant comes, including the applicant’s name, the time length during which he/she is to stay at the College and the passport number, etc.;

2. Three passport photos;

3. A testimonial from the institution where the applicant is now studying;

4. Foreign Students' Admission Registration Form (Download the attachment at the end of the page and properly fill in)；

5. The school report within the whole period during which the applicant is now studying ate the school;

6. A copy of the passport;

7.A copy of the medical examination report (no earlier than 6 months ago).

Note:  Those who apply for a period less than one year (including one year) of study need to have an “X1” visa. (On receiving a qualified application, we will send the visa Application for Study in China-the JW202 Form and a letter of admission to the applicant.) Those who apply for a period less than 6 months (including 6 months) of study need to have an “X2” visa. (On receiving a qualified application, we will send a letter of admission to the applicant.) We will not accept whose who have a tourist visa only.

Applicant Procedure

 
Note:  Autumn semester begins from the first week of September; Spring semester begins from the first week of March.

1. Please get all the materials ready according to the list of the materials required for the application. Make them into an electronic version and send it to the e-mail box of Admission of Foreign Students: admission@gwng.edu.cn;

2. At the same time, send the printed version to: Room 213, the Administration Building, South China Business College, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, 181 Liangtian Mid-road, Baiyun District, Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, China Zip Code: 510545;

3. If the application is approved by South China Business College, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, an electronic version of the letter of admission will be sent to the applicant, followed by its paper version and the Visa Application for Study in China.

4. The applicant will apply for a student visa at the Chinese embassy or consulate in the country he/she is from with the letter of admission, the Visa Application for Study in China, the medical examination report and other relevant materials, and then register at the college at the prescribed time.

Note:  For those who come to Guangzhou for the first time, SCBC can provide free pick-up service within the specified dates on condition that the ticket itinerary is sent in advance to the mailbox of the International School, and the pick-up is confirmed.

Living facilities
There is a clinic, a mini-supermarket and other services on campus.

Medical insurance
According to the requirements of China's Ministry of Education, students fails to buy it, he/she is not allowed to register. Medical insurance fee is about 500 yuan per year, which varies a little.

In order to encourage foreign students to enter SCBC for undergraduate education, we set up special scholarships for those who have both excellent academic and moral qualities. The scholarships are used to reduce or exempt their tuition fees and standard room accommodation fees.

The requirements for scholarships and support materials are as follows:

1. The language proficiency reaches the requirement for the admission of an undergraduate;

2. Scanned copies of senior high school diploma and academic record (if it’s not in Chinese or   English, then a notarized copy in English or Chinese shall be submitted) ;

3. A reference letter from the headmaster of the senior high school which the applicant graduates from and a reference letter from a teacher who once taught the applicant at the same school;

4. Personal statement, including the study and research plan, etc.;

5. Resume (CV) .

Note: In addition to reducing or exempting tuition fees and accommodation fees in the form of scholarships, SCBC will also provide in-school work-study posts for foreign undergraduates according to their individual needs. Specific job requirements and subsidy standards will be implemented in accordance with the school’s work-study management regulations.

Non-degree Language Students
