【学校发展简况】

闽南师范大学是福建省重点建设的省属全日制本科院校，座落在历史文化名城、闽南开放城市——漳州市。由1915年原龙溪师范发展而来，后辗转变迁，1986年成为漳州师范学院，是福建省师范教育布局中的重点高校。2013年4月更名为闽南师范大学，并列入本一批招生。

【DEVELOPMENT】
Minnan Normal University is one of the key universities in Fujian Province. It is situated in Zhangzhou, a well-known historical and cultural city on the west coast of Taiwan Straits and also an open-up city in southern Fujian Province. Minnan Normal University evolved from the College Teacher-training Course held by Longxi Teacher School in 1915. With several decades’development, it was officially set up in 1986 and named Zhangzhou Normal University and grew into an outstanding university focusing on cultivation of teachers. In April, 2013, it changed its name to Minnan Normal University.

【学科概况】

    学校坚持以本科教育为主体，积极发展研究生教育，适度发展继续教育和留学生教育。现有18个学院，全日制在校本科生、研究生20000多人。设有65个本科专业，建立了4个一级学科硕士授予点，30个二级学科硕士点，6个硕士专业学位授权点，4个博士人才培养方向。学校大力实施人才强校，坚持“培、引、聘”并举，逐步建立了一支素质良好、结构合理、充满活力的教师队伍。现有专任教师1301人，其中642人具有高级职称，502人具有博士学位。教师中享受国务院政府特殊津贴11人，闽江学者25人。

【DEGREES】
The university takes undergraduate education as its priority, actively promotes its graduate education and reasonably develop its adult education and overseas student education. It currently consists of 18 schools and a department. Students here may be enrolled in one of its 65 undergraduate programs, 4 first-class discipline master degree programs, 30 second-class discipline master degree programs and 4 doctoral degree programs. Its undergraduate and graduate education is open to students from home and abroad, and now it has a total enrollment of more than 20,000, including full-time undergraduate and graduate students, who study in 10 major disciplines such as literature, history, economy, law, education, science, engineering, management, agriculture and art.
The university firmly implements its talents strategy and keeps to the principle of “training, introducing and hiring” to strengthen its construction of teaching staff. Gradually it organizes a team of highly-educated, well-organized and vigorous teachers. It now has a high level faculty of 1,301 , among whom 642 are professors or associate professors and 502 are doctor degree holders. Of all the faculty members 11 teachers are granted with the Special Government Allowance of State Council and 25 teachers are granted with Distinguished Professors of Minjiang Scholars.

【国际交流与发展】

   学校积极开展对外合作交流，目前已与美国、英国、澳大利亚、德国、日本等国家的一些院校和科研、教育机构建立了友好合作关系，如美国西东大学、美国纽约理工大学、英国考文垂大学、澳大利亚斯威本大学、澳大利亚弗林德斯大学、德国BSK教育集团、日本岛根大学、日本奈良佐保短期大学等。

The university also proceeds the international exchange and cooperation. It keeps good cooperative relationships with universities, research institutes and education institutions in the USA, the UK, Australia, Germany, Japan and so on, such as Seton Hall University, New York Institute of Technology, Coventry University, Swinburne University of Technology, The Flinders University ,Germany BSK Education Group and Shimane University and Nara saho College.
