Fuyang Normal University (hereafter FYNU) is a multi-disciplinary university located in the most populated city of Fuyang in Anhui province. As a regional center in the Northwest of Anhui Province and a birthplace of many outstanding people, Fuyang enjoys a long cultural history, enriched by the heritage handed down from such famous cultural elites as Guanzi, Laozi, Zhuangzi, Cao Cao, Ouyang Xiu and Zeng Gong. FYNU boasts pleasant environment, easy traffic and favorable location with Ancient Yingzhou West Lake, high-speed railway station and a 4C-grade airport just 15-minutes drive away.

Founded in 1956, FYNU began to enroll undergraduate students in 1977, and was officially approved to start Master's degree programs in 2009. It comprises Qinghe and West Lake campuses with a population of 18,836 undergraduate students and 565 postgraduate students from all over the country. FYNU now has 17 schools, and a continuing education college, with 70 undergraduate programs in  11 disciplines such as Literature, Science, Pedagogy, Economics, Administration, History, Law, Engineering, Agronomy and Artistic Science. FYNU is authorized to confer Master's degrees now in twenty-five programs.

FYNU is open to applicants from all over the world for the degree programs offered in 2021.

     1. On-campus Living

International students who need to live on campus will be allocated by the university to campuses where they will take their lectures. Necessities include beddings, desks and bookshelves, air-conditioning, network, etc. A public kitchen and a public laundry room are provided. On-campus living students should comply with the Regulations on Management of International Student Dormitories at FYNU.

    Double room: 3000 RMB/academic year

2. Off-campus Living

International students who need to live off campus must submit the Registration Form for International Students Living off Campus and obtain the consent from the School of International Education. Off-campus living international students shall sign formal and legal lease contract with the apartment owner. Within 24 hours after moving in, they must go to the local police station in the living area for a residence registration. International students who change their off-campus living places must go to the School of International Education for registration and apply for new residence registration within 24 hours after moving into a new place. They must go to the School of International Education to record their contact information, such as address and mobile number.

Admission Requirements

1. Applicants should be non-Chinese citizens and in good health, and will observe the Chinese laws and the regulations of Fuyang Normal University; 
2. Applicants for Bachelor's degree programs should be under 25, for Master's degree programs, applicants should be under the age of 30; 
3. Applicants for Bachelor's degree programs should have a high school graduation certificate or the equivalent educational background; for Master's degree programs, applicants should have a bachelor's degree.
4. Applicants for Chinese-taught degree programs should have HSK4 or above or the equivalent qualification.


Application Procedure

1. The applicant downloads and fills in the Application Form for Admission of Foreign Students to Fuyang Normal University and other application forms for scholarship from the website of FYNU (http://www.fynu.edu.cn/gjjyxy/) and sends them together with scanned copies of other application materials to the mailbox: guojichu001@fynu.edu.cn;
2. The applicant with academic qualifications pays the registration fee of 400 RMB (the admission fee will not be refunded);
3. FYNU conducts a fair and impartial review of each applicant's materials and an online interview after receiving the complete application documents and remittance vouchers;
4. FYNU officially informs the applicant of the admission results, which can also be found at http://www.fynu.edu.cn/gjjyxy/
5. FYNU sends an electronic letter of admission, JW202 visa application form and other materials to the qualified pplicant;
6. The applicant goes to the Chinese embassy or consulate in the original country to apply for a study visa in China;
7. The applicant comes to FYNU to register with the letter of admission and relevant documents.

1. Digital copy of passport (personal information page, valid for one year at least);
2. Application Form for Admission of Foreign Students to Fuyang Normal University;
3. Chinese Language Proficiency Certificate (HSK4 or above for Chinese-taught bachelor's degree programs, and HSK5 or above for Chinese-taught Master's degree programs);
4. Bank deposit certificate of 50000 RMB;
5. Highest diploma (Original, notarized in English or Chinese);
6. Transcripts (Original, notarized in English or Chinese);
7. Study plan (no less than 800 words);
8. Two recommendation letters for postgraduate programs by professors or associate professors (written in English or Chinese with signatures and contact information);

Scholarships

I. Anhui Provincial Governmental Scholarship
All long-term international students who apply to study at FYNU will have the opportunity to obtain the Anhui Foreign Student Scholarship set up by the Anhui provincial government. 
Deadline for application for Anhui Foreign Student Scholarship: May 31 each year.

II. Fuyang Normal University Scholarship
All long-term international students who apply to study at FYNU will have the opportunity to obtain Fuyang Normal University Scholarship for Outstanding International Students set up by FYNU. 
Deadline for application for Fuyang Normal University Scholarship for Outstanding International Students: August 31 each year.

III. Award for Outstanding Performance
All international students studying at FYNU will have the opportunity to obtain the Award for Outstanding Performance set up by FYNU for their outstanding performance in professional competitions, international publishing, sports, or cultural activities.
