A Brief Introduction to Yichun University
Yichun University（YCU for short）is a comprehensive university whose predecessor was established in 1958. It is located in Yichun City, Jiangxi Province, PRC. With the approval of Ministry of Education, the new Yichun University grew out of Yichun Teachers College, Yichun Medicine College and Yichun Agriculture College in January, 2000.
At present, YCU has 18 schools, 69 undergraduate programs and 2 affiliated hospitals. In 2011, YCU had been authorized to confer a master’s degree majoring in pharmacy by the Degree Committee of State Council of China, which indicates that the educational quality of YCU has been raised to a higher level.
The motto of YCU is “educating through love”. And the aim of YCU is dedicated to fostering the high quality, creative, applied and interdisciplinary graduates.
The campus is located in the west of Jiangxi Province, southeast China. Yichun city is among the first corps of national experimental ecological cities, and has acquired a series of national honours: National Designated Garden City, National Model City for Greening, China Excellent Tourist City and National Health City. YCU enjoys picturesque sceneries, convenient communication, ample facilities and profound cultural traditions as well as fairly advanced teaching conditions. Meanwhile, students can enjoy the convenient transportation facilities with Zhe-Gan Railway (from Zhejiang to Jiangxi province) , Hu-Kun High Speed Railway (from Shanghai to Yunnan province)and MingYue Mountain airport.
Why Yichun University
Yichun University has been enrolling international students since 2006. All the students have received systematic training and by their hard work most of them have earned Bachelor’s Degree. A large number of students of the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery program (MBBS) have passed the examination of Practitioner qualification certificate in their own countries. YCU has abundant teaching resources and quality teaching and scientific research strength which guarantee that the students can receive the best theoretical and practical knowledge. On this beautiful campus you can also feel the great learning atmosphere from every corner of the campus.
YCU provides international students with excellent accommodation and facilities to ensure that they have the best studying condition. All the international students are not only qualified to apply Jiangxi Provincial Government Scholarship, but also have the opportunity to apply the special scholarship offered by Yichun University.

Two students share a room with air conditioning, water heaters, desk, and wardrobe and so on. There are school hospital, post office, convenient shops, laundry and ATM on campus. The student canteen provides different flavor Chinese food and Muslim food. You can find various sports facilities on campus, like basketball court, soccer stadium and table tennis etc.
Qualification and Term for Admission
1. Undergraduate: Applicants, who have completed the secondary education, with the diplomas and school reports, under 25 years old, can register themselves for the program.
2. Postgraduate Applicants: Applicants who have graduated from universities or colleges, with the diplomas, school reports, and recommendation letters by two professors, can apply for the program.
3. The Chinese language students: Applicants who are interested in Chinese Language and Chinese history & culture, at all age between 18-50, in good health, can register themselves for the program. Students will be divided into several groups according to their levels of Chinese.
4.Students who will study as a science or engineering undergraduate should take entrance examinations on such subjects as Mathematics, Chinese language, Physics, (or chemistry). Admission will be considered according to the results the examinees get. Or, students may not take the entrance examination but they are upgraded to continue their study as normal students, otherwise, they must repeat their studies; must have one year probation study, if all the required courses can be passed, the students then or remain as advanced students.
Note:With regard to term 1 and term 2, those who attend lectures in Chinese need to learn one year of Chinese language if they do not know Chinese Language originally, and it's also necessary for them to get HSK Degree Certificate of Qualification or the similar certificate, for all the undergraduates are required to receive at least HSK
Procedure for application
1. Applicants who can get “application Form for International Students” by sending email to ycuoice@163.com Please fill the Yichun University “Application Form for international Students “and send us the relevant materials and registration fees. Or you can also send the application form via fax 86-795-3202110.
2.Application Period: March 1- June 30.
3. Attend written test and on-line oral test organized by Yichun University.
4. Applicants who pass written test and on-line oral test will receive the Letter of Admission, JW202 Form (Visa application for foreigners wishing to study in China with which an entrance Visa (X visa) can be granted by the Chinese Embassy or Consulate General in your country.) from Yichun University.
