How to Apply
Application
1) Applicants Requirements
A. Non-Chinese citizen, healthy, no criminal record.
B.Age 18-25, holding senior high school graduation diploma and excellent study records when applying for bachelor programs; Age under 35, with bachelor degree and excellent study records when applying for master programs; Age under 40, with master degree and excellent study records when applying for doctor programs.
C. Applicants who apply for programs taught in Chinese should provide HSK level 4 or above, otherwise applicants must take 1 year Chinese course after enrollment, to prepare and pass the required HSK test before respective chosen academic programs.
Applicants who apply for programs taught in English should achieve IELTS 5 or TOEFL 69, or pass University English Test.
2) Application Procedures
Applicants should log on the website portal of XSYU: http://lx.xsyu.edu.cn to finish the online application, and submit all material online.
New students who have been examined and admitted by the university will post mail the admission notice and the visa application form for foreign students to China according to the student application form and the family address of the student application form (JW202 Form).
Student need hold both JW202 and admission letter to apply X1 visa.
3) Application Documents（submit all documents online)
A. Highest diploma (notarized photocopy). For students haven't receive diploma, shall provide completion letter. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.
B. Official university transcript. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.
C. Recommendation letters: Two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English from professors or associate professors
D. Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form (The original copy should be kept by the applicant. The form printed by Chinese quarantine authority could be downloaded from http://www.csc.edu.cn/studyinchina
E. Valid passport copy.
F. Study or research plan: In Chinese or in English, no less than 800 words.
G. Copy of required HSK level or valid English Proficiency Test (IELTS or TOFEL) certificates. (If Have)

Campus Culture
Campus Location
The main campus of XSYU is located in the center of Xi'an, near Bell Tower, Drum Tower , Huimin Street, greater big wild goose pagoda, the Shaanxi History Museum and other tourist attractions. There is a subway station, bus station, supermarkets and other facilities near the campus, which provide convenience life to students.
