For the convenience of international students, there are Double room  for the international students. The facilities and its corresponding expense are shown in the following chart.

       

Principally, international students should live in the international students’ dormitory. For those who have to live outside the campus shall have lived in the campus at least for half year, and shall get the approval of International Department. Afterward, students shall register with local police station within 24 hours and go to Entry-Exit Administration Department of Sanya Traffic Police Division to change their address for Resident Permit. Only then can the students live outside the campus, otherwise, they will be punished.
       To better implement unified management, dormitory for spouse is not provided.


      为方便国际学生的学习和生活，学校提供了普通三人间和普通双人间两种住宿条件供国际学生自主选择。房间配置及相关费用如下表。国际学生宿舍实行公寓化管理。有关入住的具体事宜及相关规定，请咨询国际处办公室。

国际学生原则上应住在国际学生宿舍，如有特殊情况需住外面或搬出国际学生宿舍居住者，须在校住半年以上，且经国际处办公室同意，随后到学校保卫处进行登记，经过三亚市出入境管理大队检查同意，办理或变更居留证上的住宿地址后方可居住，且24小时内管辖派出所登记，违者将给予处分。
  为了便于学校实施公寓化统一管理，学校暂不提供夫妻住宿环境。

【2025 Postgraduate Program for International Students】

I. Categories of Applicants and Duration of Scholarship

Notes:

1. Student who takes majors that use Chinese as the primary teaching language will be required to study, take course exams and write their dissertations in Chinese. 2. The duration of scholarship should remain the same as the one prescribed in student’s recruitment. It will basically not be extended.

II. Application Procedure and Deadline

The applicants should send their application and and the required documents to International Department before 30th December, 2024. 

III. Qualifications
1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid foreign passport.
2. Applicants must be physically and mentally healthy, meeting the medical examination standards required for obtaining a Chinese study visa or residence permit.
3. Applicants for the master’s degree program must hold a bachelor’s degree or above.
4. Applicants’ Chinese language proficiency must be equivalent to HSK-4 level or above. Whoever fails to meet this language proficiency requirement will attend the Intensive Chinese language course and take the HSK test.

IV. Tuition
2024/2025 international student’ tuition fee for master program per year: 28,000 RMB
V. Details of the Scholarship
Special international scholarship：28,000 RMB/year; 
First international scholarship: 20,000RMB/year
1. The duration of the scholarship is 2-3 years depending on the program study duration.
2.The Scholarship is supposed to cover the tuition fee.
Notes:
1. Costs of the laboratory experiment or internship that is beyond the university’s arrangements should be paid by the student.
2. Expenses to be covered by scholarship students    
--accommodation, 2800Yuan/person/year for double room. Holder of the scholarship will be exempt from the accommodation fee.   
--registration fee: 400 Yuan/person
--international travel expenses    
--living expenses   
--physical check expenses：369 Yuan   
--residence permit expense：800 Yuan/year    
--Insurance fee: 800Yuan/year (Comprehensive Medical Insurance for International Students in China are against diseases and accidents. )
The above fee amounts may fluctuate and are subject to the official release of each unit.

VII.Application Materials
 The Master program applicants must provide the following materials truly and correctly.
1. Copy of valid passport.
2. Digital ID photo with white background, JPG /100kb-600kb.
3. Notarized most recent diploma, graduation certificate, or proof of current student status.
4. Notarized college transcripts.
5. Research plan, which includes undergraduate study background and the study plan of Master program in China. No less than 600 Characters in Chinese or English.
6. Original document or photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form (must be issued by Chinese quarantine authority) received within 6 months.
7. Non-criminal record. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.
8. Recommendation letters should be sealed and submitted from two teachers of the University or college where they graduated.
9. APPLICATION FORM FOR USY MASTER PROGRAM, completed in either Chinese or English. Handwritten signature is required at the signature.
10. Letter of Guarantor, completed in either Chinese or English. Immediate family members are required to fill in either Chinese or English and attach a valid ID. Handwritten signature is required at the signature.
Note: 1.All above documents in languages other than English or Chinese must be attached with notarized English or Chinese translations.
2.Two original copies of EACH of the above documents are submitted at the time of on-campus registration.
3.ALL application documents will NOT be returned.

IX. University Registration
Students admitted who are inside China must register at the design date according to the notification of USY. Otherwise it will be considered as voluntarily giving up enrollment and scholarship when time of absence exceeds two weeks.

【 Enrollment】
1.On receiving the application, USY will screen examination on applicants’ qualification and materials, then a team of experts will conduct a comprehensive examination on applicants’ Chinese and English proficiency, professional competence, and research potential, etc.
2. Applicants who meet the enrollment standards will be enrolled into the major they apply for. The list of postgraduate scholarship will be released by USY and informed to whoever is awarded the scholarship.
3.The Pre-admission letter will be sent to applicant. On receiving the confirmation of the applicant,  the Admission Letter will be sent to the applicant’s registered email address. Applicants should make sure that the email address and the contact details are reachable.
4.The applicants who received the Admission Letter and the JW202 apply for X1 visa. In 30 days on entrance into China, the holders of the X1 visa will apply for Residence Permit for Study with the assistance of the International Office’s staff.
