■ On-campus accommodation for international students is classified into three types, type I (for one occupant) and type II (for two occupants) are single rooms equipped with a toilet and bathroom, a refrigerator, a TV set and an air conditioner, while type III is an apartment (for two occupants) equipped with a sitting room, toilet and bathroom, Wi-Fi connection, cable TV, air-conditioner, balcony and a kitchen equipped with a double-door refrigerator, microwave oven, induction cooker, range hood, frying pan and soup pot.

■ The total accommodation fee is paid per semester or per academic year. 


 

Application/Admission Procedure:

1. Register online (https://hebtu.17gz.org) and submit the following documents:

i) Hebei Normal University Admission Form (automatically generated after registration)

ii) Foreigners Physical Examination Form (can be downloaded at: http://cice.hebtu.edu.cn/a/en)

iii) Highest diploma certificate or proof of prospective graduation and transcripts (degree program applicants must provide notarized copy)

iv) Scanned copy of passport data page

v) Certificate of no criminal record (students can provide proof of current enrollment)

vi) Language proficiency report (HSK/IELTS)

vii) Research proposal (for doctoral applicants)

viii) Research papers (for doctoral applicants)

ix) Official certificate of deposit (bank account with funds sufficient to cover tuition, accommodation and living expenses in China as well as travel expenses to and from China)

  ■ Notarized English or Chinese translation is required for documents in languages other than English or Chinese.

2. Review of application documents and organizing of test/interview;

3. Payment of required fees (for qualified applications);

4. Mailing of admission notice and visa application form (JW201/JW202) by the university.

■ The insurance policy and fees are subject to change according to the requirements of related national departments.

■ The fees for short-term groups are decided on a case by case basis.

Scholarships

The Chinese Government Scholarship, Confucius Institute Scholarship and Hebei Provincial Government Scholarship are all open to international students who choose to study at Hebei Normal University.

I. Chinese Government Scholarship

In order to enhance mutual understanding and friendship between China and other countries, and to develop exchanges and cooperation in various fields, the Chinese government has established scholarships to assist outstanding students, teachers and scholars from all over the world in coming to Chinese universities to study or carry out research in areas related to science, technology, agriculture, medicine, economics, law, management, education, history, literature, philosophy and fine arts.

II. Confucius Institute Scholarship

In order to train qualified Chinese language teachers and boost the international promotion of Chinese language as well as the dissemination of Chinese culture, the National Office for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language/Confucius Institute Headquarters set up the Confucius Institute Scholarship Program to sponsor outstanding international students, scholars and Chinese language teachers to study Chinese literature, Chinese history and Chinese philosophy or pursue a bachelor or master’s degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages in Chinese institutions of higher education.

III. Hebei Provincial Government Scholarship

In order to train excellent personnel with talents in various fields and industries, the Hebei Provincial Government supports outstanding students from all over the world in pursuing bachelor, master’s and doctoral degrees in the colleges and universities of Hebei Province. Students are welcome to apply for majors in the fields of science, technology, agriculture, medicine, economics, law, management, education, history, literature, philosophy and fine arts.
