Shenyang University of Technology (SUT) is situated in Shenyang，a central city of modernization in Northeast China and also the central of economical, cultural, communication, trade and commercial hub. With four distinct seasons, beautiful scenery, rich cultural heritage, Shenyang is the most important heavy industry base in China.

Shenyang University of Technology (SUT) is an engineering-centered, application-oriented and multidisciplinary university, originally founded in 1949. SUT currently consists of four parts, covers an area of 1,589,900㎡in total . The Central Campus is the main campus which is located in the Shenyang Economic and Technological Development Zone, a cluster area of equipment manufacturing industries.

 In SUT, there are 19 schools, 2 teaching departments and 2 engineering training centers. Moreover, 59 undergraduate programs and 11 vocational programs are also offered in the university. The university is authorized to confer the Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctor’s degrees. It has 1 national key secondary discipline (Electrical Machines and Apparatus), 4 provincial first-class disciplines supported by the project of building top class universities in Liaoning Province (Electrical Engineering, Material Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Instrument Science and Technology) and 4 postdoctoral research stations of these disciplines, 5 Ph.D. programs in primary disciplines, 20 Master programs in primary disciplines, and 5 professional degrees: Master of Engineering, Master of Accounting, Master of Business Administration, Master of Engineering Management, and Master of Finance, among which the program of Master of Engineering covers a series of 13 sub-disciplines.

The university has more than 30,000 undergraduates and graduate students, more than 1,300 teachers. The university has a strong faculty and a great number of famous teachers. SUT has got great achievements and established national engineering research centers, ministry of education engineering and technology center, Provincial Ministry of Education Key Laboratory and Province University Humanities Social Sciences Key Research Base.

International Education School of Shenyang University of Technology officially changed its name to International Student College at the beginning of 2019. The college consists of college office, international student office, Chinese language teaching and research office,etc.

SUT has began to enroll and cultivated more than 4,000 foreign students from 20 countries such as Korea, Japan, America, Russia, Nigeria, Vietnam, Turkey, the Philippines, Uganda since 1995. These students include preppies, undergraduates taught in Chinese or in English and postgraduates which majors are Electrical Engineering and Automation, Architecture, International Business and Trade, Accounting, Business Management, Marketing and Chinese Language, etc. At present, it has become the host institution of “Chinese Government Scholarship” and “Liaoning Province Government Scholarship” authorized by the Ministry of Education of China (MOEC); also has a number of government scholarship programs such as "China-Russia Special Scholarship for Cultural and People-to-people Exchanges", "University Graduate", " Silk Road".
