Hubei University of Automotive Technology (HUAT) was founded in 1972 with Mr. Meng Shaonong, the former member of the Chinese Academy of Science appointed as its first president. It is the only one undergraduate university with automobile industry as the name of a university in China, being praised as the “Cradle of Automotive Engineers”and selected as a pilot university of “Excellent Engineering Education and Development Program”. The Dongfeng-HUAT Formula 1 Team has won the Grand Champions in Formula Student China (FSC) 2012, 2015 and 2017. The close relationship between HUAT and Dongfeng Motor Groups (DFM) provides great opportunity of internship for foreign students with engineering background. HUAT has also established stable partnership with universities in Germany, France, USA, UK, Australia, etc. in the field of joint-education programs, faculty and students exchange and double-degree programs.

Your yearly tuition fee is 18,000 Yuan and accommodation fee is 3,000/1,500 Yuan (double/four-people room). We also provide President Scholarship of 11,000 Yuan for the full-time international undergraduate students during the first year. You can also apply for the scholarships of different levels from the 2nd to the 4th school year which covers students who meet relevant requirements: 1st Prize 12,000 Yuan (top 20%),2nd Prize 11,000 Yuan(next 60%) and 3rd Prize 10,000 Yuan(the rest 20%).
