Shenyang Urban Construction University, formerly known as Urban Construction College of Shenyang Architectural University, was founded in July 2000. With over 13 years of educational experience, it has been approved as a formal independent university by the Ministry of Education in 2013. The SYUCU is now a full time undergraduate university with registered students of over eleven thousand, providing exclusive degree programs on Architecture Design, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Road Traffic, Project Management, Mechanical Manufacturing, Electronic Information and Art Design.
The campus is located in the beautiful, historic and cultured city, — Shenyang. The university lies in the centre of Hunnan district of ‘university town’ which consists of eight universities— Shenyang Institute of Science and Technology, Haihua College of Liaoning Normal University, Xinglin College of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Northeastern University, Shenyang Sport University, Luxun Academy of Fine Arts, the new campus of Shenyang Conservatory of Music. Liaoning Provincial Library, Liaoning Science and Technology Museum, and Liaoning Provincial Museum are also within the area. 1. Undergraduate Program — 3 majors in 3 disciplines for foreign students
1) Architecture(Five-year program)
Students acquire knowledge regarding architectural design, urban planning, urban design, interior design, architectural engineering design through systematic learning, accept basic training on architectural design, and have basic competence in project planning, building scheme design and construction drawings.
2) Civil Engineering (Four-year program)
This program aims to cultivate students to acquire necessary cultural knowledge of structural engineering, highway and railway construction, bridge and tunnel construction, underground construction, etc., and apprehend the preliminary designing, studying, developing, constructing and managing ability of civil engineering programs.Know the newly development of the civil engineering industry, apprehend the methodology of document retrieval and the ability of scientific research, practical work, computer designing and analyzing.
3) Business Administration (four-year program):
Aiming to nurture high-level applicative talents who adapts to the modern marketing needs, apprehend the theory of modern company management and entrepreneurship with excellent communicating and practical skills to work at a profitable or non-profitable institution.
2. Chinese Training
Long-term course: Aiming at the comprehensive Chinese applying ability. Lay a solid foundation for foreign students when they are living and seeking for employment in China through hearing, speaking, reading and writing skill to improve their Chinese communicating skill and help them have a basic understanding of Chinese culture through courses and social activities.
