1. Chinese Government Scholarship：

Full scholarship

- Exempt from tuition fee；

- Provide free on-campus accommodation；

- Provide comprehensive medical insurance；

- Monthly living allowance:

3,000 RMB/month for master’s degree students;

3,500 RMB/month for doctoral degree students.

①Chinese Government Scholarship-High Level Postgraduate Program is a full scholarship set up by China’s Ministry of Education to support prestigious Chinese universities to recruit outstanding international students for graduate studies in China. Chongqing University, one of the designated Chinese universities, welcomes excellent international students to study master’s or doctoral programs under this program.

②Chinese Government Scholarship-Silk Road Program is a full scholarship program set up by China’s Ministry of Education since 2017 to support Chinese universities to recruit young students from Belt & Road countries. Chongqing University, one of the designated universities, welcomes outstanding international students from "Belt and Road" countries to pursue master’s or doctoral degrees under this program.

③The Chinese Government Scholarship-Bilateral Program  includes a full or partial scholarship established by MOE in accordance with educational exchange agreements or consensus between Chinese government and the governments and institutions of other countries. An applicant shall file an application with the dispatching department of their home countries.

2. International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship

For the purpose of satisfying the growing demands of the international community for Chinese language teachers and facilitating Chinese language education in other countries, the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) will continue with the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship. Confucius Institutes, independently operated Confucius Classrooms, certain HSK test centers, Chinese language (education) departments of foreign universities, professional associations for Chinese language instruction of other countries, Chinese embassies (consulates) abroad (collectively “recommending institutions”) may recommend outstanding students and currently-employed Chinese language teachers to study International Chinese Language Education or related majors in Chinese universities and colleges.

The International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship provides full coverage on tuition fee, accommodation fee, comprehensive medical insurance expenses and living allowance.

The Living allowance is granted on a monthly basis. The monthly allowance for undergraduates, one-academic-year study students and one-semester students is 2,500 CNY per person. For MTCSOL student, the monthly allowance is 3,000CNY per person.

3. Chongqing Municipal Government Mayor Scholarship

1. Master’s degree student: 30,000 RMB/year/person;

2. Doctoral degree student: 35,000 RMB/year/person;

The supporting durations shall not exceed the normal length of schooling for the corresponding degree. Scholarship winners shall pay application fee, tuition fee, accommodation fee, medical insurance fee and other related expenses by themselves. Scholarship will be awarded in the form of living allowance on a monthly basis for 10 months.

4. Chongqing University President Scholarship

1. First-class Scholarship:

-   exemption from tuition fee

-   free on-campus accommodation (or off-campus accommodation subsidy 700 RMB per month if there is insufficient supply of on-campus accommodation)

-   living stipend:

   2,200RMB per month for doctoral degree student

   1,800RMB per month for master’s degree student

   1,500RMB per month for bachelor’s degree student

-  free comprehensive medical insurance for international students

2. Second-class Scholarship:

-   exemption from tuition fee 
       3. Second-class Scholarship:

-   exemption from 50%tuition fee

The supporting durations shall not exceed the normal length of schooling for the corresponding degree.
