Nanjing University of Finance and Economics (NUFE) is one of the top 10 universities in China for finance and economics. It is a key comprehensive university in Jiangsu Province, focusing on economics and management, as well as other subjects such as law, engineering, humanities, science, and art. NUFE operates a joint college in collaboration with Massey University that offers dual degree programs. Additionally, NUFE facilitates student mobility programs with Cornell University, UC Berkeley, Saint Joseph's University, Fairfield University, McGill University, and Imperial College London. NUFE students have won various awards in national and international contests. In 2022, two NUFE teams won the Meritorious Winner award in the COMAP's Mathematical Contest in Modeling (MCM) and Interdisciplinary Contest in Modeling (ICM). A team from Massey Institute at NUFE won the Silver Award in the China International College Students' 'Internet +' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.

NUFE SCHOLARSHIP SYSTEM NUFE offers a scholarship system for international students who have been studying on campus for over a year. This scholarship system is performance-based. Therefore, newly admitted or non-NUFE students are not eligible to participate in the scholarship competition during their first year because they do not have any performance record at NUFE. NUFE receives dozens of government scholarship seats annually, including the Jiangsu and Nanjing Government scholarships. In 2023, NUFE established the NUFE Scholarship, which offers various awards to outstanding students who will enter NUFE in the autumn semester of 2023. The previous tuition fee waiver system still applies to students who enrolled in NUFE before 2023.
NUFE UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP The NUFE University Scholarship consists of three types of awards: Freshmen Scholarship, Academic Scholarship, and Special Scholarship. Each of these scholarship competitions is held annually. The Freshmen Scholarship is a one-time award given to exceptional first-year students who have completed the language preparatory program at NUFE. The first-rank winner will receive 17000 CNY, and the second-rank winner will receive 8500 CNY. The main requirement for this award is the applicant's overall performance in the language preparatory program during the previous academic year. Applicants who have achieved a score of more than 70 in the Comprehensive Chinese Course in both semesters, passed the required HSK test, and have completed NUFE's interview can apply for the first rank. Those who have achieved a score of more than 70 in the Comprehensive Chinese Course in just one semester, passed the required HSK test, and have completed NUFE's interview can apply for the second rank. The Academic Scholarship is a one-time award given to outstanding undergraduates (from sophomores to seniors) and postgraduates (for 2nd-year and 3rd-year students). For undergraduates, the first-rank award is 17000 CNY, and the second-rank award is 8500 CNY. The primary requirement for this award is the applicant's academic performance in the degree program during the previous academic year. Applicants who have achieved a score of more than 70 in every course can apply for the first rank, whereas those who have achieved a score of more than 70 in at least eight courses can apply for the second rank. Postgraduate students follow the identical academic requirements in the yearly scholarship competition while their awards increase to 23000 / 11500 CNY. Special Scholarship for Bachelor's Degree Program Graduates of NUFE Bachelor's Degree Program graduates from NUFE with HSK-5 Chinese competency can apply for the special scholarship for the 1st year in Master's Degree Programs at NUFE. NUFE graduates who achieved an average score over 70 throughout Bachelor's Degree Programs can apply for the first award of 23000 CNY, and those who achieved an average score over 65 for the second rank of 11500 CNY. Later they will join the Academic Scholarship competition in their second year of study in Master's Degree programs. Special Scholarship for 专接本项目/Zhuanjieben ProjectStudents Newly admitted 专接本项目/Zhuanjieben Project students with HSK-4 Chinese competency can apply for the special scholarship for the junior year in Bachelor's Degree programs. The students who achieved an average score over 75 throughout college study can apply for the first award of 17000 CNY, and those who achieved an average score over 70 for the second rank of 8500 CNY. Later they will join the Academic Scholarship competition as seniors in Bachelor's Degree programs.
GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITION The Jiangsu Government Scholarship provides a one-off fund of 18000 CNY. Meanwhile, the Nanjing Government Scholarship offers a one-off scholarship ranging from 5000 CNY (for non-degree program students) to 10000 CNY (for undergraduate students) and 20000 CNY (for postgraduate students). NUFE announces the scholarship competition notice every fall semester to all eligible international students on campus. The applications can be submitted via email or hard copy. After the application deadline, qualified applicants with higher average scores in the previous academic year will be invited to scholarship defense interviews. The final scores are calculated based on the average scores during the last academic year (50%) and interview scores (50%). The allocation of government scholarship seats will be based on the final scores.
