闽江师范高等专科学校是以师范类、医学类专业为重点，非师范类专业协调发展，培养基础教育、卫生健康以及其他高素质应用型人才的公办学校。其历史可以追溯到创办于1903年被誉为'闽师之源'的全闽师范学堂。习近平总书记任福州市委书记期间曾为我校题词'严谨治学，桃李芬芳'。
Minjiang Teachers College is a public college that focuses on teacher training and medical science, and coordinates the development of non-teacher training to cultivate basic education, health and other high-quality applied talents. Its history can be traced back to the Quanmin Normal School, which was founded in 1903 and is known as "the source of Fujian teachers". During his tenure as Secretary of Fuzhou Municipal Party Committee, General Secretary Xi Jinping wrote an inscription for the school, "Rigorous governance, fragrant peaches and plums".

学校现有旗山、仓山、甘蔗、福清等校区，占地1042.39亩，建筑面积39.3万平方米。学校设有教学单位12个，福州市艺术学校、福建省福清卫生学校和附属实验小学、4所附属幼儿园等7个直属管理单位以及附属永泰幼儿园、附属永泰小学等2个指导单位，并立项建设附属中学1所，在编教职工758人。全日制在校生12000余人、非全日制在校生近6000人，培训学员年均3万人。
MJTC now has campuses in Qishan, Cangshan, Ganji and Fuqing, covering an area of 1,042.39 acres and a building area of 393,000 square metres. MJTC has 12 teaching units, Fuzhou City Art School, Fuqing Health School of Fujian Province and affiliated experimental primary schools, 4 affiliated kindergartens and other 7 directly under the management of the unit, as well as the affiliated Yongtai kindergarten, the affiliated Yongtai Primary School and other 2 guiding units, and the construction of a project to build the affiliated middle school, with a staff of 758 people. There are more than 12,000 full-time students and nearly 6,000 part-time students, with an annual average of 30,000 trainees.

学校开设师范类、艺术类、医护类、管理类、工科类等共计41个专业。其中，国家级专业建设项目28项，省级专业建设项目48项，目前，职教集团（联盟）国家级1个，省级2个，市级2个。省级高职院校产业学院6个，省级实训基地10个,国家级、省级培训基地31个。
MJTC offers a total of 41 majors, including those in teacher education, arts, healthcare, management, and engineering. Among these, there are 28 national-level professional construction projects and 48 provincial-level professional construction projects. Currently, MJTC is part of 1 national vocational education group (alliance), 2 provincial-level groups, and 2 municipal-level groups. Furthermore, it hosts 6 provincial industrial colleges and 10 provincial training bases for higher vocational education, along with 31 national and provincial training bases.

学校主动融入国家“一带一路”倡议，获评教育部教育对外援助项目1项，获批福建省“具有较高国际化水平的职业学校建设单位”。中国戏曲及跨境电商等2项课程资源获评福建省“具有国际影响的职业教育资源”。截至目前，学校与9个国家建立合作关系，累计面向10个国家开展职业教育培训。2024年，学校计划在海外建设6家“海丝学院”。
MJTC actively integrates with the national ‘Belt and Road Initiative'. MJTC was awarded the Ministry of Education's Foreign Aid for Education Project, and was approved as a "Vocational School Construction Unit with High Internationalization Level" in Fujian Province. Fujian Province recognized MJTC's 2 curriculum resources as "Vocational Education Resources with International Impact": Chinese opera and cross-border e-commerce. As of right now, MJTC has collaborated with 9 countries and provided vocational training and education in 10 countries. MJTC intends to construct 6 "Maritime Silk Road Institution" abroad by 2024.

作为东南亚重要祖籍地，学校率先在全省高职院校中开办应用外语（马来语+商贸）、应用外语（柬埔寨语+商贸）等专业，满足走出去的企业对掌握东南亚地区语种人才的需求。同时，学校积极开展海外华文教师培训和教育文化交流活动。先后获批“福建省海外华文教育基地”“福州市海外华文教育基地”“东南亚华裔青少年祖籍地文化交流培训中心”。2018年，在金边设立“中柬华文师资培训中心”。2021年，学校华文师资培训项目获评“中国—东盟高职院校特色合作项目”。目前，累计举办14期海外华文师资研修班，培训了750名海外华文教师，培训量超1.46万人日。
As an important ancestral region in Southeast Asia, MJTC has taken the lead in establishing majors such as Applied Foreign Languages (Malay + Business) and Applied Foreign Languages (Khmer + Business) among all higher vocational colleges in Fujian province. This initiative aims to adapt to the increasingly close economic and trade exchanges between our province and the Southeast Asian region. Meanwhile, MJTC actively engages in overseas Chinese language teacher training and educational and cultural exchange activities. It has been granted the titles of 'Fujian Province Overseas Chinese Education Base', 'Fuzhou City Overseas Chinese Education Base', 'Cultural Exchange and Training Center for Southeast Asian Chinese Youth Ancestral Homeland'. In 2018, MJTC established the 'China-Cambodian Chinese Language Teacher Training Center' in Phnom Penh. In 2021, the Chinese language teacher training program was awarded the distinctive cooperative projects between China and ASEAN higher vocational colleges. To date MJTC has organized 14 sessions of overseas Chinese language teacher training, benefiting over 750 overseas Chinese language teachers, with a total training volume exceeding 14,60 person-days.
