Brief Introduction:

The Chinese literature program of Northwest University can be traced back to its founding date known as “Chinese discipline”. The School of Liberal Arts was established in 1923. Currently, it is listed as one of the provincial key disciplines which enjoys excellent teaching team. The program will combine both online and face-to-face innovative teaching module and with Chinese Culture and related topic as its research concentration direction. During the process, NWU will invite well-known professors from both domestic and abroad to deliver classes.

Traditional Chinese Culture, Study of Chinese Poetry, Study of Chinese Drama, Practical Study of Chinese Culture, Chinese Culture and European & American Literature, Chinese Culture and Asian Literature, Chinese Culture and Regional Literature, Chinese Culture Aesthetic Appreciation, Brief Introduction to Buddhist Thoughts, Chinese Culture and Modern Novel, Chinese Culture and Creative Writing, Chinese Culture and Calligraphy, Study of Oversea Chinese Descendent Literature    

Application Requirements: 

1. Be in good health and well-conduct

2. Non Chinese Citizen 

3. Hold bachelor degree or above

Application Materials:

1. Photocopies of your valid passport (Passport type must be ordinary), and two recent passport-sized photographs.

2. Notarized copies of highest academic degree or undergraduate diploma (Student expecting to graduate should provide an official letter declaring expected graduation date), either in Chinese or English.

3. Notarized copies of undergraduate degree academic transcripts, including courses taken and scores obtained.

4. Two recommendation letters from associate professors or professors (or faculty member with equivalent academic rank), either in Chinese or English.

Note: The application materials will not be returned disregard to successful admission or not. Certificates other than in Chinese or English language must be translated to Chinese or English by a legitimate notary authority.
