Program Description

Undergraduate International Economics and Trade

UIET is designed to train international students equipped with global view, innovative spirits, solid field-knowledge, practical skills for international business operation, and skills of multicultural communication. UIET provides international students with a curriculum based on Chinese Language education and a gradually increasing depth in understanding Economics. 

Entry Requirements

Documents for Application (including but not limited to)
(1) Ordinary foreign passport. The passport should be valid before December 31,2025.
(2) Senior high school diploma
Current high school students shall provide an official pre-graduation certificate. The original or notarized copy of the high school graduation certificate must be submitted no later than registration.
(3) Academic transcripts for all the courses in senior high school(original /notarized copy in English or Chinese).
(4) Applicants who have studied in China should provide the Discipline Record from previous school or university.
(5) Physical examination results.The results should be stamped by the hospital and issued within six months prior to the date of submission.
(6) Other supporting documents as required.

Applicants should be 18 years old or above by 31 August 2025. The applicants under the age of 18 shall provide certified documents of designation signed by their entrusted legal guardians in China.

English Language Requirements
For non-native English speakers who apply for English-taught programs, they should provide a score report of English Language Test (TOEFL 80+/IELTS 5.5+). The certificate must be in valid period. For applicants who cannot offer the above-mentioned standardized English test reports, they will be required to participate in an English test organized by IEC.

Study Requirements for Ethnic Chinese
If the applicant's parents or one of the parents are Chinese or the applicant has emigrated from Chinese mainland, Hongkong, Macao and Taiwan and acquired foreign nationality for, according to the Document No. 12 〔2020〕 of the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China, they must be naturalized for 4 years or more and have more than 2 years of residence in foreign countries during the past 4 years (Actual residence in a foreign country for nine months out of a year may be counted as one year, based on entry and exit stamps).
