The MBBS program has been approved by the Ministry of Education of China to recruit international students since 2011. The program has gained effective achievements in teaching construction, development and scientific research. Now the School has one state-level teaching team (for core course of MBBS basic medicine teaching), one state-level high-quality curriculum (Human Anatomy), one national bilingual demonstration course (Biochemistry and Molecular Biology), one national high-quality resource sharing course (Human Anatomy), and five provincial excellent courses. Medical School has been approved for one outstanding talents reform pilot project by Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health (the five-year Clinical Medicine program), one provincial advantage program (Clinical Medicine), one key provincial laboratory (for pathophysiology and technological research), one provincial experimental teaching demonstration center (as basic medicine experimental teaching center), three key provincial disciplines-----clinical medicine, public health and preventive medicine and biological science), eight key municipal laboratories, and three key municipal disciplines, and five science and technology innovation teams at the city or provincial level. In the past five years, the School has hosted 87 state-level projects (2 key projects) and 108 provincial projects; reaped 16 provincial science and technology awards, 34 invention patents；published 1032 papers （including 422 SCI papers, 28 highly-cited ESI papers), 29 textbooks and monographs. In 2012 field ranking by Ministry of Education, clinical medicine program of Medical School, Ningbo University ranked 40th among all colleges and universities. According to the Thompson ESI data released on May 7th, 2015, our clinical medicine program enters into the top 1% among the global academic institutions list for the first time.
